Emotional trauma

Quick tips to help with emotional trauma

Trauma is often the result of an overwhelming amount of stress that exceeds one’s ability to cope, or integrate the emotions involved with that experience. Severe trauma can produce post-traumatic stress disorder, a condition that can cause temporary memory loss to help a person cope with the traumatic event.

*Accept that some things are out of your control.
* Try to keep your sense of humor.
