General Questions

What if I need to speak to someone in the office after business hours?
Our office staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. When the office is closed, there is an on-call person available to help you.
Do you provide services to those in nursing homes or assisted living communities?
Yes, we provide companionship or personal care to residents at assisted living facilities and nursing homes who may need additional attention or personalized care.
Are housekeeping and errand services included?
All caregivers are responsible for performing light housekeeping and errand services.
What accommodations are required for a Live-in caregiver?
The caregiver must have suitable sleeping arrangements and needs to be able to receive about eight hours of sleep a night. The caregiver must also be provided with reasonable groceries/meals.

Quality of Care FAQs

How are caregivers selected?
All of our caregivers have passed a thorough reference and criminal background checks. They are bonded, insured and our employees, not subcontractors. We match your specific needs and requests to the skills and background of each caregiver to find the ideal match.
Is there a written plan of care for each client?
We develop a written Plan of Care for each client based on an assessment of his or her needs. The Plan of Care is developed before providing service in cooperation and agreement with the client and family’s representative. The Plan of Care will be used to direct the caregiver in the delivery of in-home care services. Plan of Care is reviewed with the client and family periodically to ensure that the client is receiving the appropriate level of care and is pleased with the caregiver providing the care.
Do you have registered nurses on staff?
Yes, all our offices have a registered nurses on staff to provide specialized home care services, train and oversee our certified aides
What if the Caregiver you placed in the home is not a good match?
While Royal Home Care tries to get the best possible match of skills and personality in a caregiver for your family, there are occasions when a different caregiver will need to be arranged. Royal Home Care conducts periodic follow-ups and if for any reason you want to change a caregiver, we will do so at no charge until you are completely satisfied.
Are all in-home care services provided by Licensed Nurses?
In-home care services such as Companionship, Homemaking, Personal Care, and Live-in Care is provided by a caregiver who has the necessary skills and experience to best serve the client’s needs. Services requiring Skilled Nursing Care is provided by a registered nurse.

How long will it take to get a caregiver?
After our consultation, a caregiver is assigned that has the necessary skills, experience and personality match to best serve the client’s needs. The caregiver can be available at your convenience. Call us 24/7 800-668-2317
What if my regular caregiver is unavailable?
If your regular in-home caregiver is unavailable, the Client Care Coordinator will arrange another caregiver and will contact you. Our goal is to ensure that home care services are provided as expected.

How much does in-home care cost?
Each Royal Care office is independently owned and operated. Please contact your local office directly for a complete list of products and home care services available, as well as the rates for your area..
Does insurance cover the costs of the in-home care services Royal Home Care provides?
• Long Term Care Insurance policies and other insurance policies may cover cost of home care services Executive Care provides.

• Other sources of coverage may include private/self pay, auto accident insurance, Worker’s Compensation Insurance, Veteran Affairs, and various religious or social service organizations.

• Medicaid may offer some coverage to those who are Medicaid-eligible. We currently don’t accept medicaid

Are there any hidden costs?
We never charge additional costs or fees. If there are changes, we always notify our clients well ahead of time.
Do I have to sign a contract for services?
We never lock you into a contract. It’s an agreement for services and you are free to terminate it with proper notice – no questions asked. Our goal is to provide the best possible home care service.
